What kinds of milk can be made in the Almond Cow?
Don’t let the name fool you. You can use any nuts, seeds, or grains that you like including, but not limited to, almond, oat, coconut & cashew.
How long does Almond Cow milk last in the fridge?
Depending on the amount of salt added, typically 3-5 days. Salt helps extend the life of the milk and adds flavor, but is not necessary.
What quantity of nuts, seeds, oats & base can I use to make my milk?
We recommend using ½ to 1 full cup of raw ingredients - any combination of nuts, seeds, and grains that you like - to make milk in your Almond Cow. (Most plant-based milks in stores use very little in the way of actual nuts or seeds. They’re mostly water and a large amount of artificial thickeners, fillers, and flavorings.)
Coconut water, hot water or other liquids can be used in the base of the machine in place of regular water. Fruit can be used but is not the best base for milk.
How much milk is made in one batch?
5-6 cups or 40-48 ounces of fresh plant based milk per batch
Do the nuts need to be soaked beforehand?
Soaking the nuts is not required, but we do recommend it for a smoother milk.
